The Jamaica Baptist Union 173rd general assembly is scheduled for February 22-26, 2023. As usual, we expect pastors, delegates and participants to participate in the special event as we resume our regular face-to-face function this year.
This year the assembly will be held under the theme “Keeping Faith with The Word in an Ever-Changing World – Embracing the Mystery”.
The evening gathering will be held at the Boulevard Baptist Church, St Andrew, while the final day will be held at the National Arena on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
This year’s assembly will showcase worship links with inspirational music as well as engaging sermons.
President Rev. Dr. Glenroy Lalor, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Half Way Tree, will deliver the opening address and the Sunday morning sermon at the National Arena. Other speakers include Rev. Jean Rony Batille, pastor of the Nouvelle Eglise Du Calvaire (New Calvary Church) in Haiti, Rev. Racquel Buckley, pastor of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in St. Mary, Rev. Angella Morgan Allen and Rev. Doreen Wynter of the Jones Town Circuit in Kingston, who will deliver the closing address.
